Door Doctor is looking for a Lead Hand Installer who takes pride in their craft and is ready to lead from the front. In this role, you’ll be hands-on - installing, removing, and testing critical dock and door equipment - while ensuring every job is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard. You’ll play a key role in delivering reliable solutions that keep our customers’ operations moving.

Responsibilities: 

• Lead the installation of: Overhead doors, rolling steel and high-speed doors and dock equipment including truck restraints, shelters, and seals
• Safely remove and replace existing equipment
• Conduct thorough testing to ensure optimal performance and reliability
• Complete all documentation accurately and on time
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized job sites
• Manage tools and equipment - ensuring everything is inspected, maintained, and ready to go
• Keep your service vehicle clean and professional
• Champion safety by following all company policies and procedures

Requirements: 

• 2+ years of experience as a Lead Installer in the dock & door industry
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems
• Confidence using tools, power equipment, and diagnostic instruments
• Solid understanding of safety practices and preventive maintenance
• Strong communication skills—you know how to work with customers and your team
• A self-starter mindset with a positive, team-first attitude
• Comfortable working at heights and in physically demanding environments
• Valid driver’s license in good standing
